October’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games
PlayStation Plus members in the UK will gain access to F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 as part of the October 2026 monthly games lineup. These titles will be available for download from Tuesday, October 6, until Monday, November 2, according to the official PlayStation.Blog.
F1 25
Race for podium glory in F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. Players can enjoy single-player experiences such as Career and My Team 2.0, allowing them to create their own F1 stories as team owner. Online multiplayer features include a new mode in F1 World, where friends can race as a squad against AI drivers. T3 describes F1 25 as a “technical tour de force, especially on PS5 Pro,” noting its updated handling model and a mighty lineup of customisable gameplay options.
Hunt: Showdown 1896
Enter a new era of the “addictively unforgiving extraction shooter” (PlayStation.Blog) with Hunt: Showdown 1896. Players fight alone or with friends against twisted monsters and other ruthless Hunters to track down bosses, claim bounties, and extract. From the team behind Crysis, this FPS challenges players to risk everything in corrupted backwaters lost to history.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2
The square Earth is under attack by giant enemies in Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. This light-hearted team shooter with brightly-coloured voxel graphics tasks players with rescuing scattered teammates from around the world. Users can select four teammates from their collection to create a custom team, choosing equipment before deploying to battle. The game supports four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on both PS5 and PS4.

Beyond the monthly games, PlayStation Plus members can also access other exclusive content in October:
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day Avatars: To celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Sony Pictures Core from October 6, limited-edition avatars will be available exclusively on the app for a limited time, ending October 20, 2026. PlayStation Plus members can claim these avatars in-app at no extra cost, while non-members must purchase the movie to receive them. Push Square reports that the film broke domestic Box Office records and is close to taking $2.5 billion internationally.
- Horror-Themed Bundles: To mark the spooky season, PlayStation Plus members can enjoy horror-themed in-game item bundles for various PS5 and PS4 games. These include the Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle (available October 1), the Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack (available October 6), and the Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier skips Pack (available October 7).
Last Chance for September’s Titles
Players hoping to add last month’s PlayStation Plus games to their libraries have until Monday, October 5, to do so. The September lineup included Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes.
